CDM 2015
Following significant changes to the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations there have been many changes for both clients, designers and contractors to take on board.
The regulations now also apply to residental developments which were previously excluded from the requirements of the CDM Regulations.
The duties previously undertaken by the CDM Coordinator are now slipt between the other parties.
Goodfield Consulting are now in a position to provide advisory services to help duty holders fulfil there new roles and we one of the first to undertake the CDM 2015 trasfer exam to prove competency under the new regulations.
In particular we can offer the following services:
- Whole project advice to the Client to ensure they appoint a suitable Princple Designer and contractors to fulfil the project delivery and that contractor complete the project in a safe manner. This will include regular site inspections throughout the build.
- Advice to the Princple Designer. Many of the CDM Coordinators duties are now the responsibility of the PD. We can assist the designers in ensuring these duties are met at the planning stages.
- Advice to Principle Contractors and Contractors.This can include:
- Assistance with Construction Phase Plans (or other similar documents to prove competency and safety planning)
- Assisting Principle Contractors where they take on multiple roles in small projects such as design and build residential project previously excluded from the regulations.
- Assistance with safety schemes such as CHAS and Safe Contractor.
